And if you do get them in here, there's gonna be a lot of people uncomfortable in the back if they are. Now, this is gonna be a great option for you because as you probably noticed, the Compass doesn't have a whole lot of room in the back, so it's not gonna be really ideal for carrying any of your longer items like ski carriers. If you plan on carrying a ski the majority of your time because maybe you live close to the mountains or you go skiing a lot, or maybe if you want to go fishing in the summer times, you'll be able to use this too. It's a great option for that because it does come packed and save you space. And always carrying skis on top of your vehicle is gonna be a much better option than keeping 'em inside your vehicle because one, we don't have a lot of space. That'd be great for if you do struggle to grab your skis from the top of your roof, 'cause even me reaching over here, I can grab them, but I'm definitely working to get them. This is gonna allow you to slide this out and grab your skis and put them back into place and take them out much easier. But let's check it out. So if you are shorter or if you have a taller vehicle like we have today, it's harder to reach your skis, using this is gonna make that a lot easier, so let's check it out. So first thing is you'll notice we have these pretty large handles on the outside and what I like about 'em is they're really easy to operate. (carrier unsnaps) Just a little push like that opens them right up. (carrier unsnapping) And trying to grab my skis can be pretty difficult. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at E-Trailer and today we have the Kuat Grip Ski and Snowboard Carrier and we are going to take a look at how it fits our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The Kuat Grip is one of my favorite premium carriers, because it's slides out, it has a really sleek look, and you can get it in different colors. So here's an example of how it can be helpful on the Jeep. This is a taller vehicle, and I am a shorter person, so opening up the carrier, I just hit up on those levers. I access the other lever on the inside, and now I can slide out the carrier's tracks, to make this more accessible for me. So, rather than trying to reach up onto the Jeep and stand on the ledge with my large boots, I can then just slide out the whole system, grab my skis, and now I am ready to go. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how the Yakima FreshTrack fits on top of our 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, excuse me. So this is gonna be a rooftop ski and snowboard carrier. It's gonna hold your gear in between these two spring-loaded jaws that open up to reveal these large rubber pads on the inside that will grip down on our gear, both protecting it and keeping it still. Now, this method of carrying skis and snowboards is really nice because it's going to be a lot cheaper than a rooftop box, it's gonna be more space effective, and it won't add near as much height to your vehicle. The downside to that though is that your gear is going to be exposed to the elements. more

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier on top of our 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, that's gonna be a way of carrying your skis and snowboards between these two spring loaded jaws. It's going to be probably my preferred way to carry stuff like this, just because the alternative, a rooftop box, can get very large, very bulky, adds a lot of height to your roof, and they're typically much more expensive than this type of carrier. So if you're really just using it for your skis and snowboard, something like this is a nice option. You've got this thick rubber padding in between to hold your gear in place, protecting it, but also, providing grip so it doesn't shift around. It is lockable so you don't have to worry about people messing with it when you're not around. more

A ski and snowboard carrier for your roof is a great way to get some of that gear out of your car and up on top of your vehicle where you've got some more room and you can transport them safely. A lot of people like to use rooftop boxes for this because they are enclosed, but the problem with boxes is that they can get very expensive, they're very bulky and they're hard to store whenever they're not on your roof. This is gonna be a nice low profile solution, much more cost effective, and when it's not on your roof, it's easy to store in the garage and put somewhere out of the way. more

We're using this today in tandem with our roof rack, on our gutter mounts here. And it's gonna be a great way to carry those skis and snowboards on the roof, and not have them bang around in the truck bed, or trying to find some sort of space for them, maybe in the back seat It's gonna keep them up on the roof out of the way, and if they're messy, maybe you just finish skiing, and you put 'em on up here, It's not gonna get that mess in your truck. Now with these, they're activated with a push button, a pretty large push button, and the arms will open up, and all the gears kept inside in these soft rubber jaws. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here at the etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the INNO Gravity Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier on our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Now this version of the gravity is going to be a dual-sided one. You can see the carrier has two sets of jaws, one over on the passenger side and then one on the driver's side. This is expandable and retractable and it's not in the fully expanded state right now but it's basically designed so that you can have easy access to your skis and snowboards on either side putting up close towards the edge of the vehicle rather than to the center of the roof, while still maintaining a good capacity for skis and snowboards. more

Now this is gonna be a way to carry skis and snowboards on your roof that isn't enclosed. A lot of people are probably familiar with using Rooftop Box to carry those, but those can get expensive, hard to store and they're just bigger and bulkier on the roof of your vehicle. And if you're pulling into somewhere with a low clearance situation and you don't want to add all that height to your vehicle, this is another good way to kind of keep things lower to the ground. What's up Jeep owners Adam, here with etrailer today we have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FreshTrack 6 ski and snowboard carrier. This carrier can be used for skis, but also fishing rods. As you can see, this is a big rod and we can't fit it in our Jeep, even if we wanted to. So this is one that isn't gonna damage your rods. I really think you can fit way more fishing rods than you can fit people in this car, 'cause it's pretty big. But it's not gonna damage your rods it's just gonna keep 'em nice and snug. more

What's up everybody, it's Aj with etrailer.com. Today we'll be checking out, the Yakima Fat Cat Evo. It's gonna be a four ski snowboard carrier, and we're gonna put it on our 2020 Jeep gladiator. Today's setup is a little bit different, we having it installed on the bedrock rails for Yakima and these mounts on the bed rails here on the back of our gladiator, you see that it's a lower profile. We still got the skinny water on that side. We we're able to fit the fat cat Evo over here on this side, and still use the bind for other stuff, you can see the toes back there for more cargo and more room to use. more

Evangeline: Hi, it's Evangeline from etrailer.com. And today we are looking at Yakima hitch ski and snowboard carrier adapter for hitch mounted bike racks here on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now, this is a great option for you if maybe you don't have a roof rack, if you already have a bike rack and you want to carry snowboards, skis on your bike rack safely and very easily. So the way this works is we have our boards and our skis mounted to our carrier. This has a capacity of six pairs of skis or four snowboards. I personally think it works best with four pairs of skis, but it really depends on the size of your skis and your snowboards.This has a locking, so you can lock this and you can use the same key lock system if you do have other Yakima accessories. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be testing the Kuat grip slide out ski/snowboard carrier. This is available in black, which is what we have on the Cherokee right now. But, it's also available in pearl and in gray. Yakima Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll being doing a test fit on the Yakima Powderhound Ski and Snowboard Carrier. This is going to be for 4 skis or 2 snowboards. That's part number YO3O81. I've already got it loaded up to give you a good idea of what it looks like. Like always, when loading anything up on your roof, excuse me, you always want to be sure you've got enough room so you can still open up your rear hatch. You can see with the way we've got it set up here, we're not going to have that problem. Few things to know about this carrier. The large over-sized buttons here, going to make it easy to open up, whether you're wearing gloves or mittens. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Yakima Big Powder Hound Ski and Snowboard Carrier. That's going to be for 6 skis or 4 snowboards. That's part number Y03082. Now when getting loaded up on your Grand Cherokee, you always want to be sure you have enough room here at the rear so you can open up your rear hatch. Whispbar Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2016 Jeep Patriot- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Patriot we're going to test fit of the Whispbar locking ski and snowboard carriers. That part number is WB-300. We already have the front half of or carrier in place. We're going to show you our back portion because it does mount up the same way. We start by sliding on our carrier and getting the straps to hook underneath our cross bars sliding them over as far as we can. Want that to be lined up wit our front as well. more

Today on our two thousand sixteen Jeep Patriot, we're doing a test fit on the Thule snow pack roof mounted ski and snow board carriers. That part number is TH7326. We already have the front portion secured down. We're going to show you how we mount the back, since it is the same way. We'll start by placing our carrier onto our cross bar and making sure that our straps go underneath. Then we'll line them up so they're at about the same spot. We'll then take our strap, and connect it underneath our cross bar. more

Now I'm going to take this and put it into the slot here. All right, got that into the slot, take our alan key here, go ahead and start tighten it up.
